Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast, grew up immersed within the space industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Trump and Biden Administrations. In that period, Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The extensive trips she took with the president and vice-president also included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan, which she took with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before being hired by the network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. The firm specialized on producing documentary films for corporate clients which included Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their 3-year-old daughter.
